Stage Two- The Top Ten                                                    February 18th to March 3rd

Contestant Submits

The Top Ten will submit an Initial essay, outline or autopsy of the entire project from beginning to end:

Bidding the project

  • Include if this was a current client or new client

  • Include a synopsis of the first phone call, first meeting, what steps you took when you viewed the listing i.e. Photos, notes etc.

  •  Include an outline on all the steps you took to bid the job

  •  Include all of your marketing materials you used to secure the job

  •  Include a copy of your bid 

  • Include any negotiations your client asked for consideration and any modifications to your final bid

Preparation

·         Include an outline of the steps you took in preparation of the project i.e. dealing with the rental company, pulling inventory, shopping, additional team members etc

·         Include any issues that you encountered and the creative solutions

Curb Appeal 

·         Include the condition the property was in before you got involved and include any modifications you made

·         Include any challenges and the creative solutions        

Actual Staging 

·         Each room must be outlined of what was done in the room in order to complete that room.

·         Include any thoughts on why certain ideas were created or implemented. 

·         Include a list of the vendors you used and what products you used. EX: CORT, Brook, AFR Aarons, etc Furniture-living room set, bedrooms etc. 

·         Include the challenges and creative solutions 

Photos

·         Before and staged, photos MUST be taken from the same angle 

·         Photos of every room staged must be included

Statistics

  • Include a timeline from the date client initially contacted you, to bid, acceptance of bid, staging of the project, days from staged to sold

Working with others

  • Include a list of anyone else you worked with on the project including painters, landscapers etc. List any challenges and creative solutions you encountered

** Information specific to your bid and pricing will only be viewed by the judges and it will not be on display for public view

** As with Staging presentation is everything and you only get one chance to make a first impression.  Create a professional presentation.

Judging        The Top Ten                              March 15th to March 29th    

The Top Ten will be judged by our Celebrity Judges using the following format and point’s value system.

500 Total Points

Bidding the project- 100 Points

Preparation- 50 Points

Actual Staging- 300Points

Statistics- 50 Points

All points will be compiled and The Top 5 will move on to Stage Three- The Final Five
